How It Works - Stop Birds, Leaves & Rodents In Gutters

While many mesh products can help stop leaves in gutters and stop birds in gutters, not all gutter guard systems are designed to properly flush away the fine dirt and dust that still passes through the mesh. During heavy rain, many inferior systems cause water to simply “sheet” across the surface of the mesh rather than flow through it effectively.

Our gutter protection systems have been specifically engineered for New Zealand conditions to collect 100% of rainwater while helping stop leaves in gutters, prevent sludge build-up, and deter birds and vermin from entering your roof space. By keeping larger debris out of the guttering, fine dirt and dust can continue flowing naturally towards the downpipes, reducing the build-up of mud, seeds, and unwanted plant growth inside the gutters.

Our Waikato based team work throughout the greater mid North Island, including Auckland and the Bay of Plenty regions.

Years of research and development went into creating a gutter screen system that not only breaks the surface tension of the water but also directs it efficiently into the gutters. Many mesh products originally designed for other industries simply do not perform effectively as gutter protection systems and can eventually become part of the problem instead of the solution.

In the bottom photo, you can clearly see water sheeting off the mesh with very little passing through. This creates poor gutter flow and will not effectively flush away dirt and dust. In comparison, the top photo shows the underside of the mesh remaining dry while the rainwater flows properly through the system and into the gutters as intended.

Make the smart choice to stop leaves in gutters, stop birds in gutters, and protect your home with Kiwi Gutter Protection.
